Healthy Schools
We are hoping to be awarded the gold Healthy Schools Award this term. You have helped towards this by encouraging some of the following activities :walking to school whenever possible, providing your child with a healthy lunch and fruit snack for playtime, providing a water bottle for drinks throughout the day, helping with the playground fundIt has been suggested that we look into buying some form of shed for parents to leave their children?s bikes and scooters as many children enjoy coming to school that way. Please would you let one of the Healthy Schools Task group know if you would use such a facility?they are?Mrs Pegler, Mrs. Drumm, Miss Verhoef and Mrs. Pritchard
If you have any more ideas of how to involve the children with the wider community we would love to hear from you. Back to top
Uniform
As usual the children are looking very smart in their uniforms. Please would you check PE bags to make sure everything still fits. The majority of children in the school wear the correct uniform and it would be a real achievement if it could be 100%. The sales are on at the moment so it might be a good time to look for those new shoes and other bargains.Remember to name all clothing?teachers are not able to return clothes to their owners if they are not named. Reading Club
It?s lovely to see so many of you at the before school reading club. For new parents this is an opportunity to come in out of the cold before school starts and read books with your child. We use the Community Room and overspill into the hall if necessary. Reading club is from 8.30 ? 8.50 ? just come into school via the main entrance. Teachers collect children from the Community Room and take them into class in time to open the door at 8.55 for the start of school. For next week only the Community Room will not be available for reading club but there should be plenty of space in the hall. Back to topCake Sales
