Dear Parents SCHOOL UNIFORM
I have received requests from several parents regarding ordering uniform via the school office. As you know Jane Gibbon stocks uniform at the Community Centre and now you may place your order here and it will be sent up to Jane for processing and then be available for collection here. Please remember to label absolutely everything?this makes it much easier for children to find their belongings. Back to top
READING CLUB
It is wonderful to see so many of you at reading club in the morning. You are welcome to use the chairs that are behind the curtain in the hall. These chairs are the property of The Church @ The Pines so I would ask that you return them after use. Please keep the corridor clear to make it easier for the teachers to collect children at 8.50. If you wish to talk to your child?s class teacher please do not use this time?the teachers are available before or after school. Back to top
STAFF NEWS
Exciting news?Miss Tyrrell has been chosen to join a group of teachers from Bracknell Forest on a trip to Mississippi to attend a conference, visit schools and meet some American teachers and pupils in order to learn about U.S. systems and to demonstrate behaviour management. This will take place over half-term and I am sure Miss Tyrrell will come back full of new ideas. Mr. Lyne left for a well deserved ?late? retirement at the end of September. I am sure many of you will see him round and about and will wish him well. Back to top
Freedom of Information Act
The Freedom of Information Act requires publicly funded bodies, including schools, to be clear about the information they publish. We have produced a publication scheme setting out all the information we publish on a regular basis and where to find it. Ask the school office to let you see the scheme or provide you with a copy free of charge. Back to top
TEA TOWELS
We will be placing an order for the tea towels before half ?term. The children will draw self portraits and there will be a Infant tea-towel and a Nursery one, they make ideal Christmas presents. At the moment we think they will cost £3. Please let us know if you want to order one and did not put your name on the list, as we need an idea of the number to order and reprint prices are more expensive. Back to top
PTA News
In spite of the rain the fair on 25th September went ahead and was a success, raising £700 for the Juniors, Infant & Nursery and the pre-school. The next PTA event is The Christmas Bazaar in the community centre on Nov 20th. Back to top
