Dear parents
Welcome back to everyone and Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas break as much as your children seem to have. Thank you for all your good wishes, cards and presents. A special welcome to our new nursery children and their families and to our newcomers in Reception. Back to topTsunami Appeal
We are having a fund raising event next Friday 21st January for the disaster appeal. The infant children may bring in a toy, game or puzzle to share with their classmates and the nursery children may bring in a doll or a teddy. We are asking that the children please bring in a donation for the school to send to the appeal. Back to topUniform
As usual the children are looking very smart in their uniforms. Please would you check PE bags to make sure everything still fits. The majority of children in the school wear the correct uniform and it would be a real achievement if it could be 100%. The sales are on at the moment so it might be a good time to look for those new shoes and other bargains. Please make sure you child wears suitable shoes for school,no trainers, heels, strappy shoes or boots.Remember to name all clothing, teachers are not able to return clothes to their owners if they are not named. Reading Club
It's lovely to see so many of you at the before school reading club. For new parents this is an opportunity to come in out of the cold before school starts and read books with your child. We use the Community Room and overspill into the hall if necessary. Reading club is from8.30 - 8.50 - just come into school via the main entrance. Teachers collect children from the Community Room and take them into class in time to open the door at 8.55 for the start of school. I would ask you again to keep the corridor clear - there is plenty of space in the hall and Community room. Back to top
Meetings with Teachers
If you have something you wish to discuss with your child's teacher please arrange an appointment either before or after school. It is advisable to inform the teacher of any change of circumstance [a new baby, moving house, separations etc] as these may affect your child. Any concerns about school should be discussed with the class teacher in the first place. Back to topPocket Calendars
