Uniform
As usual the children are looking very smart in their uniforms. Please would you check PE bags to make sure everything still fits especially plimsolls. The majority of children in the school wear the correct uniform. It would be a real achievement if it could be 100%. Please make sure you child wears suitable shoes for school?no trainers, heels, strappy shoes or boots.
Remember to name all clothing?teachers are not able to return clothes to their owners if they are not named. Back to top
Sun Safety
Summer is coming so please remember to put sun cream on your children. If they bring the sun cream into school it should be in a named bottle. The children can then apply it themselves. Hats and sun glasses ( with UV protection) can be worn but again make sure they are named. All children can bring water bottles to school which can be refilled throughout the day. We will ensure that in hot weather the children are not in the sun for too long. Back to top
Reading Club
It?s lovely to see so many of you at the before school reading club. For new parents this is an opportunity to come in before school starts and read books with your child. We use the Community Room and overspill into the hall if necessary. Reading club is from
8.30 ? 8.50. Come into school via the community room entrance and teachers will then collect the children from there. I would ask you again to keep the corridor clear?there is plenty of space in the hall and the Community room. Back to top
Meetings with Teachers
If you have something you wish to discuss with your child?s teacher please arrange an appointment either before or after school. It is advisable to inform the teacher of any change of circumstance [a new baby, moving house, separations etc] as these may affect your child. Any concerns about school should be discussed with the class teacher in the first place. Back to top
Staffing
As mentioned in the last newsletter we have some new staff members. Mrs. Sarah Boyle is working throughout the school, Mrs. Sharon Todd is working in Nursery , alongside myself and Miss Sarah Frost. I am sad to say that next Thursday 12th May Mrs Gates will be leaving us after nine years. She is off to become an office administrator at a local company. We wish her the very best for her future and I am sure you will agree she will be greatly missed. Back to top
Clubs
We are pleased to have so many clubs going on at school. There is drama on Wednesday after school, Gardening Club is on Thursdays after school. If you are able to help with Gardening Club please let me know, a couple of volunteers would be very welcome.
After school football with Bracknell Town Football Club is on Tuesdays. Recorder club and choir take place at lunchtimes. Back to top
Yours sincerely
